Tomáš discovered his passion for the Moravian landscape during childhood hikes with his grandfather through the limestone karst formations near Blansko. He studied Physical Geography at Masaryk University in Brno, then spent his early career as a field researcher for the Czech Speleological Society. In that role, he surveyed and documented over 140 caves in the region — work that gave him deep, practical knowledge of cave geology and underground ecosystems.
Over the past 12 years, he’s shifted focus toward public education. He’s trained numerous hiking guides and created detailed route documentation that combines scientific accuracy with real visitor information. His approach emphasizes sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship. He works closely with Podyjí National Park administration and the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area on conservation initiatives.
